This would pretty much double the number of maps on GW. Though in theory it's a really good idea, it will create more lag on the server.
Now, if you mean to just have an open doorway and when you step inside it automatically switches to 1st person (to avoid camera glitches) that would be fantastic. But having to load a map as if you were leaving town would cause server damage im sure.

If it's in 3rd person, your camera could zoom out and view the outside of the building while you're on the inside, hence you wouldnt know where you're going unless you zoom in A LOT.

Well.. you guys have seen those glitches where you can actually walk inside rocks, right? Just have them do the same thing only make it appear like buildings with one small opening.

How does WoW do it then?
I guess 1st person is okay it then kinda looks like a point n' click adventure game though...

You can still move in 1st person without clicking :S use WSAD to move and hold your right mouse button and drag it around to change direction...

i think this was suggested before. i still say its a good idea, but it would take a lot of time to skin the inside of the buildings and open them up. and when you think about it presearing ascalon is the only city with that many buildings. how many can you think of in LA, maybe 6-7. It may not be worth while to implement this.

there are caves with some rather small entrance ways, both in presearing and in the shiverpeaks.
i think there should at least be some area somewhere that's in a building. like have an outpost that is inside an inn or fortress. just to be inside a building for a change.

I like it. buildings and stuff would add a whole other level to the cities and stuff. Cool

they could make it so the top of the building disappears when you enter it, like runescape. not sure if the engine supports it though.
and yea if it's possible then /signed

Yes, building, and while we're at it, more collision detection. Buildings and Collision Detection rank highly in my book.

Its a great way to limit trade chat to some extent. Make it so People can only hear the trade/local chat of the building they are inside.
